‘Tangled the Series’ Arriving in March

There have been a number of memorable Disney films in the past couple of years, but the one that captured my heart and that I continue to watch over and over features an adorable blonde with really, really long hair. Thankfully, we get to see her and her friends again and much sooner than originally expected because Tangled the Series is set to premiere in March 2017 on the Disney Channel!

Taking place between the feature film and the 2012 short film, “Tangled Ever After,” this animated series, starring Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, follows Rapunzel and other familiar faces as she gets to know her parents and her kingdom.

Most of us wanted the story of Tangled to continue in the form of a sequel, and although we got something along those lines, I think what we’re getting next is even better. With animated shows, you’re able to spend more time with the characters and enjoy the worldbuilding that comes with it. We also get to find out why her hair magically grew back again!

That said, fans in Florida have the opportunity to see a behind-the-scenes look of the series when they watch Tangled as part of D23’s Magical Screening Series on February 11 at AMC Disney Springs 24. The event will include a special presentation by Disney Legend, Walt Disney Archives founder, and Chief Archivist Emeritus Dave Smith.

D23 Members will also enjoy a recorded behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming television show Tangled: The Series, which is set to take place between the original 2010 movie and the 2012 short Tangled Ever After. Throughout the new series, Rapunzel will have to find her place in the kingdom as she navigates her newfound family, her people, and her fiancé.

Can’t attend the special screening? Neither can we, but in the meantime, make sure to follow the series on Twitter and check Fangirl Next Door more for information.
